will they have a Boy or Girl?

and we're off - Oh my, I haven't even recovered from the weekend and we are off again with only 3 of the grand girls as my son and Erica just called to say she's being induced tonight, so off we go!   If I am able to post from the road with any news, I will do so, otherwise, you'll have to wait for our return.

So what do you think, will we have a 7th girl to add to our grands?

Fiestaware Tent Sale

Something else we did this past week was travel to Newell, West Virginia to the Homer Laughlin China Co for their Summer Tent Sale.  It was an incredible event and the anticipation while in line was almost too much!  We were 174, 175 + 176 in line, but we were still able to get into the tent before noon!  We got in line around 5 am and they hand the tickets out at 7 am, so that's pretty good.   There were people in front of us (way, way in front of us) that had spent the night!  That's pretty hard core, I'm just sayin'.  We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and were almost tempted to let the air out of the tires of the cars in the Parking Lot, but then thought better of it!

The picture below is of a riding lawnmower that someone drove to McDonald's on for breakfast . . . another sight was when we drove by this house that was pretty close to the road that had an RV parked in front with no wheels and someone was living in it - - there were lots of weird things like this in the little town of Newell!

2 days at a waterpark . . .

We've just returned from 2 days at a waterpark and lived to tell about it . . . 6 adults and 6 little girls all under the age of 6.  Oh, the drama!  We stayed in a huge suite: Three bedrooms: one with a king bed and two with two queen beds, Three bathrooms, one with whirlpool tub, Flat screen television in each bedroom, Living room with queen sofa sleeper, fireplace and 32" flat screen television. Fully equipped kitchen and dining room set, Three Patios/balconies with furniture. All the comforts of home + then some!  And what did they want to do when we finally returned home late this afternoon . . . go in the pool!

We're Back from New England!

Well, it was a wonderful 2 weeks while it lasted!  Now we are back home and have had to hit the ground running.  My other daughter, her husband and their twins came back with us, so there is lots to be done - a visit to Amish Country, a visit to Cedar Point, a couple of days at Kalahari, a trip to West Virginia to Homer Laughlin for the Fiestaware Tent Sale, oh, the list goes on and on.  Here are a few pics from our 2 weeks in New England.
This pic was taken right after our flight into Boston - we just had to made a pit stop at Faneuil Hall for lunch.  Almost lost my lunch afterwards though when we went to pay for parking . . . a whopping $34 (of course that was AFTER the restaurtant validated the ticket).

Here is a pic of Sophia eating one of favorite New England treats, a Drakes Devil Dog . . . just for the record, I did not give it to her, my husband did, and I almost inflicted boldily harm on him because like I said, they are my favorite and I don't like to share

The girls are so happy to see us!

I think I've worn her out . . .

The girls were jumping in the trampoline before they even had breakfast this morning!  Now we just finished lunch and I went in to clean the table and this is what I found - a sleeping beauty with Oreo cookie all over her face!

We are leaving this afternoon for a couple of weeks in Rhode Island to visit our other grandgirls and we are taking Sleeping Beauty with us.  Hopefully she will be like this on the plane!

Another one off the longarm!

Here is Grandma Jean's nautical quilt she made for a work friend!  I used the panto called Steam by Norma Sharp.  Here is a closeup of the quilting:

Stash Report - Week 23

Well, things were rather hectic last week and I was unable to post.  Ditto this week too, but things haven't changed too much . . . I was able to find the fabric I ran short of at the Mennonite Quilt Shop for the setting triangles for my Raspberry Jam quilt - SCORE!  I have also started on JudyL's Memorial Day Quilt Along, but it's come to a screeching halt with life here at home!

      In:  2.5 yards
      YTD  48.264 yards

      Out:  9.875 yards
      YTD:  69.5 yards

      Net 21.236 yards

Fired up the longarm!

I cannot even remember that last time I did some longarming . . . maybe the end of March?  I just love my HQ16 - even after it sat for two months, I was able to start it up and begin to quilt without one problem!  My friend Carolyn needed her signature quilt for a family reunion in mid June and we are leaving early next week for 2 weeks to go visit our other grand girls in Rhode Island.  I have one more quilt for another friend that I hope to get loaded tomorrow.

Birthday Girls Part 2

My husband and I decided a month ago that we were going to get the girls a trampoline for their birthdays.  When the time came this past weekend to purchase it, they were all out!  Had to travel almost 3 hours to another Sam's Club to get one, and then, after all that, it wasn't the same style, but we got it anyway only because my husband opened his mouth before we left and spilled the beans to the girls
The weather has been gorgeous here and the girls have been enjoying jumping around in there all hours of the day.  I wish I had been quick enough with the camera this morning as they were in there jumping around in their jammies . . . .
