Birthday Girls!

Here are a few pics of the girls on their new scooters from Grandma + Grandpa C!  Even baby Sophia wants to get in on the action - she is content just to stand on it though!

Design Wall Monday

Well, there isn't anything on the wall today, but there are two new projects in the works - both of them are Judy's fault! First picture is of the fabrics I will be working with for JudyL's Mystery Quilt. The second group of fabrics are my basket of patriotics that I am rummaging through for JudyL's QOV Project! The third pic is of my Raspberry Jam Quilt that I have run out of the fabric for the setting triangles. I had hoped to return to the LQS where I purchased the fabric a year ago, but life keeps getting in the way and I have been unable to get there, so while I was rummaging for the fabrics for the 2 projects, I came across a couple of fabrics that might work - one is a bit lighter and the other is a bit darker. Currently, I am leaning towards the darker fabric on the right . . .

Stash Report Week 21

Well, there hasn't been any activity this past week, so my report is the same.  With that being said, there will not be a repeat next week as I will be on the hunt for the fabric for the setting triangles for my Raspberry Jam Quilt.  I have border yardage that is just chomping at the bit to be posted as used, so if I am unable to find the same fabric, I will find something else - I think that must be how new designs are born!

Design Wall Monday

Well, a little more than half of the blocks are pieced into rows . . . but shortly things will come to a screeching halt because I have discovered that I do not have enough of the raspberry color for the side setting triangles.  Before I decide upon something else to use in its place, I want to make a trip to the Mennonite Quilt Shop where I purchased that fabric almost a year ago - do you think I could be lucky enough that there's still some there?

Stash Report - Week 20

Well finally I have yardage to post as used, but that's only because I pulled all of the fabrics for Judy's Mystery Quilt and began cutting last night!  This seems to be the only way for me to get something done lately.  Hope my lethargic phase passes soon!  The quilt room is looking a little better every day, so much so, that I am willing to share a picture of it now, but please keep in mind that there is much more to be done.  I had a first this week - I posted 5 quilting books on eBay and I sold one!  This is big for me because I am a virgin eBay'r!  So without further ado, here are my numbers:

      In: ZERO yards
      In YTD:  45.764 yards

      Out:  11.25 yards
      Out YTD:  59.625

      Net YTD:  13.861 yards

Well, Raspberry Jam is back up on the design wall and I am ready to sew the blocks together!  I am missing a few blocks, but have found the scraps and hope to make new ones to replace them as it's so much easier to do that then to look for the missing blocks!

I was able to sleep in this morning - yea!

On the Stash Busting front, I got a little bit done this week!  Reconstructing my sewing room is still in progress, but it's slow.  I completed 2 blocks from the LQS BOM program and sent out some nickels for an online swap!

Well, here is a photo taken with my new camera of 4 blocks that I have to complete before Friday's BOM meeting!  The fabrics on the left stack are the new BOM and the fabrics on the right are the blocks I am behind on from last years BOM . . . . some things don't change!

Stash Report - Weeks 17 + 18

Well, I have been MIA for the past couple of weeks.  I have lost my mojo since the IKEA Towers crashed.  One of my friends even came over on Saturday to help me reconstruct, but we just sat around and talked - it was wonderful though to have someone to talk to!  Today, I went out and bought a new camera and I hope to have some pics to post in the morning once it's had a chance to charge for Design Wall Monday.
