Well, here is what is on my design wall this morning and I am not happy with it. I used different colors of solids for the sashing and the repro prints for the cornerstones, but I do not like all of the different colors. I will be ripping off all the sashing and replacing it with a color that has yet to be determined. I would like to use a darker purple for the 1st inner border. That large floral is what I plan on using for the outer border and binding it with the green that's folded on top or perhaps the dark purple. Check out other design walls by visiting Patchwork Times

What a charming quilt, and I like it! I wonder if a couple of things would work: if the cornerstones were white like the background? there's a couple of sashing strips that are dark that jump out. I like your big border print! I like the varied colors of your sashing though, and the blocks are adorable!
I think it's charming, too. Maybe solid yellow or green sashing? I actually like the various colored sashing. It's going to be a sweet quilt.
I like the coloured sashing too!!! the darker ones do jump out a bit, but I really like the differnt colours in the sashing - think again about removing it...... It really makes this quilt - how to say it... uh, have a happy feel to it with the colours - I keep thinking summer and ice cream for some reason!! I like it.
I really like the multicolored sashing but I know that each of us views the work with different eyes. I am always surprised by how color alone makes the same pattern looks so much different. And frequently people choose color combinations I would never use. LOL
what about the orangey, peachy color in your border fabric for the sashing? I like all of the different colors but I know how you are. I would also try the green that you have for the corner stones. That might work to pull it all together. I'm in love with it already!
