My strip scrap bin is overflowing, so I decided to make some string blocks! Went to Sam's Club and purchased some Kabnet Wax paper and started! This is a first for me as I have never made these blocks before. I followed the tutorial on Bonnie's Blog and it's really easy! Because I am working with random widths of strips, my strings are rather wonky, but that's ok for me!

I like the wonky look too :)
I love string quilts and am doing one too right now! It never seems to deplete my scrap bin though!
I, too, am working on some string blocks. They are my "when I don't want to think but do want to sew" thing to do. I am sewing on muslin squares so plan on this becoming an outside/picnic/hammock quilt without batting.
string quilts are so much fun. I use random strips too and love how they turn out.
