Week 36 Stash Report

Well, I went shopping and purchased some cotton Hawaiian fabric at Fabric Mart, and then I found a "real" quilt shop called the Quilt Hut and did some more damage there . . . on a non-quilting note, we went snorkeling and the entire back side of my body is fried, but I had the best time and saw lots of neat fish and I even had an underwater camera this time! I will try to to post pictures later today!

  • Fabric in this week: 9 yards
  • Total fabric in YTD: 137.529 yards
  • Fabric used this week: 0 yards
  • Total fabric used YTD: 103.791 yards
  • Net: -33.738 yards

Here is something that may or may not help you with your fried back - a couple years ago, when talking about sun burns, a person told me to use baby powerder on the bed sheets. Sprinkle it on there and it will let your burned parts slide over them with very little resistance!! I have told people with burns and they all say it really helps with sleep and comfort. Snorkling!! That would be a great way to spend the weekend!!!

Great fabric - and sorry about the burn. I can relate to the pain. but, my advice - aloe - either straight from the plant or get some gel that has it.... it really helps. It even helps if you start blistering.

And next time, swim with a tshirt on. There are some long sleeve shirts that have a sunblock feature in them.
