Week 41 Stash Report

The numbers are slowly getting better - but slowly!  I was in Amish Country this past week, but practiced restraint and only purchased 2 yards for a border and another .5 yard of some Christmas fabric that I ran short of!  I have been rather productive this week - now if I can just keep it up!

Fabric in this week:     2.5 yards
Fabric in YTD:         149.529 yards

Fabric used this week:      5.625 yards
Fabric used YTD:          117.416 yards

Net:  -32.113 yards

You know, I have been thinking, if I end the year with a negative number, do I have to carry it over when I begin the year with the 2010 Stashbusting Report?  I would much prefer to start again with a clean slate as just the thought of beginning a new year in the negative is rather depressing . . .
Check out what others have been up to with their Stash Reports at Patchwork Times.

I vote for a clean slate (and I'm on the positive side right now). After all, it's fabric in and fabric out *this year*.

I'm not doing the stash report so I hope it's ok to give my opinion. ;-)

I'd start over with a clean slate. Look at how much you have used! I'd call that great and start with 0.

I think I'm going to start in Jan. just because I'm curious.......

I sure hope I get a clean slate. I'd hate to start the year with my #s. With a clean slate we'll be able to see if we improve.

I agree - we all get to start over. I also gave myself some other goals such as cleaning up, organizing and working on more projects so that it is easier for me to look at my increase in the yardage because I met those other goals!

One of my newest goal is to have the "right" stash for me so that I can be creative without having to run to the store or a website to get something.

I think it's a good idea to start over at 0 for the new year. If we do this for several years, we can look back at our stats and amaze ourselves at our progress! :) Take care, Dianne B. in England

We start each new stashbusting year with a clean slate.

Yes, the hotpad on my blog is made with fabric wrapped around clothesline.
