Design Wall Monday

I have a quilt on my design wall frame today!  I don't have much more to quilt, probably 4 or 5 more rows of a panto and then I'll be ready to bind!  I have had this quilt of Linda's since way before Christmas - that is so sad.  I have at least two more of hers too . . . guess I'd better get busy-er!

I did find the 2 missing blocks from the quilt I wanted to work on last week - they hadn't even been made when I found them quite by accident!  The two blocks are done now, but I do not have enough of the "right" fabric in my stash for the sashing or borders, so that will have to be on the back burner for now until I find something that will work . . . I had planned on taking a couple of the blocks with me when we went to Orlando last week, but I forgot them and you know how hard it is to shop for sashing and border fabric without the blocks!

Check out what everyone else has on their Design Wall at JudyL's Patchwork Times!

glad you found your missing blocks. I keep forgetting to take my cw blocks with me to find sashing for them. I think it's almost impossible to get it right without the blocks with you.

I like your design frame quilt--too bad you'll have to part with that pretty thing. Your blocks look wonderful and bright. It would be hard to find the right sashing without them along. I have taken a business card holder/binder and put scraps of my fabrics in it that I am wishing to match. Makes it easy to carry along when I need to.

I love those blocks, the colours, the alternating sizes of the rows, the alternating types of blocks in the rows..... It's going to be a gorgeous quilt when it is finishes, since it is gorgeous now.

I agree that if you need to deviate from your stash to get the right match you must have your project with you. Before you put it away pin all the pieces together so you won't misplace a single piece. What you've got looks great.

Oh I HATE to lose just ONE or TWO of something...What panto are you doing? I love to freemotion the best, but my freemotioning has been practice for my machine control. I'm better at pantos now because of the freemotion! Go figure!
