Design Wall Monday!

Well, here's what's on my design wall this week, Tulip Blocks! I am trying to figure out what to do with them as far as setting. I also have 4 duplicate blocks that I may just use on the back of the quilt. These blocks are from an online swap. They are made from the depression era fabrics - those prints are one of my many favorites! Anyone have any ideas as to how to set them - please leave a comment or send me an email - I'd love to hear your ideas!

I am seeing white sashing with scrappy depression corner stones...

narrow plain pastel sashings with cornerstones! something that will blend in and let the blocks shine! They are so pretty!

Do you have an idea for the border fabric? If you do, then look to see if there are colors in that fabric that would be good for the sashing and cornerstones.

Anaccent color that is in the border fabric might look good as the cornerstones.

I'm also thinking sashings and cornerstones! but I would do the sashings in 30's and the cornerstones white! :)

Oh I love your blocks! :-) I have a 'collection' of repro 30's quilts. ;-) How about just various colored 30's frames around each block and then join them? Do you have a size you want the finished quilt to be?

I would put them on point using all 24 blocks: white setting triangles and strip pieced borders.

I love those blocks and I love scrappy quilts. I'm going to agree with white sashing and scrappy corner stones and on point with nice setting triangle for great quilting!
